I was initially less than thrilled with the products in my Ipsy Spellbound Glam Bag but that changed once the bag actually arrived. This cute red lacey bag, complete with a bat on the zipper, had a couple great products in it and I'm happy with this bag, though it isn't the best.

  1. Meech and Mia Loose Eyeshadow in Purple, $11.50- I first thought that Ipsy had sent me the beige color of this shadow, it looks more beige in the pot. When applied lightly this looks a lot like the Amethyst shade from the Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette. The more you build it up, the more it looks like a smokey gray with a purple holographic highlight. It's a very pretty shade and I foresee using it quite a lot.
  2. MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in R230, $43- I usually hate receiving samples of foundation because they're usually so darn wimpy, ya know? Those little packets that are typically sent as foundation samples can only cover one cheek, if that. This sample is actually a decent size and almost matched my skin, which was surprising because I usually need the very lightest shade from a range. I'm not crazy about how this looks on my skin, but it's not bad.
  3. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion, $20- Another black eyeliner pencil. Another one. I've said before, I have a lifetime supply of these sitting in a drawer. This one glides on very smoothly, as the name suggests, and is very creamy. It's easy to smudge when first applied, but dries quickly, so if you're going to smudge it, do it fast! They sell this in a large range of colors and Id definitely consider buying it in a color other than black.
  4. MDMflow Liquid Lipstick in Retro, $23.37- This is the product that I was most excited to try from this Glam Bag. I always need more liquid lipsticks! I love the packaging of this product and thought I would love the color, but it's Barbie pink and Barbie pink doesn't look good on me at all. The formula is also very sticky and remained sticky for the few hours that I wore it. It also wore off very easily just from drinking. I can't say that I would buy this product, it just doesn't seem worth it when so many cheaper products are more long-lasting.
  5. Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Oil Treatment, $7.99- This is a decent hair oil. It's not my favorite but it's not the worst. It's not as oily as similar products so it doesn't smooth down my flyaways as much, though if I add too much it doesn't make my hair look greasy. If I needed a hair oil, I would consider buying this-- but Ipsy keeps sending hair oils so I have no need to go buy one on my own!
Not the best bag, not the worst. I've seen some spoilers for the November bag and I'm looking forward to it!
