I've been blogging for over a decade about various things but there is one subject that I haven't covered yet, but I've been wanting to. So yeah, I guess I'm going to be posting outfits now! This has been on my to-do list for a long, long time and I'm so excited (and nervous!) to be sharing it with you.

I know it may be a little surprising that I'm going to start posting outfits-- it's surprising to me, too. I mean, I hardly post photos of myself on here. For the past few years being elusive has kinda been my ~thing~ buuuuut that's been holding me back from a lot of stuff that I've been wanting to do.

I was really nervous for this shoot, but much to my surprise, everything was fine. I didn't pay attention to the people looking as they walked by, I didn't mind the guy who was side-eyeing me, and my face doesn't look nearly as dopey as I was expecting it to. Heh. Self-deprecating humor aside, being the center of attention for half an hour wasn't as bad as I was anticipating and I'm so happy with how these photos turned out.

So let's talk about this dress! I am living for it. I'm totally okay with bell sleeves, fluted sleeves, and flared sleeves coming back. I want them to stay forever. And this dress has little ties on the sleeves, which is the whole reason why I bought it. I've been trying to only buy black and gray clothes because that's what I prefer to wear when I have brightly colored hair, and that may be happening again soon, but this dress was too perfect to pass up. It would have been more perfect if it had pockets, but I'll get over it. It's been getting a bit chilly here, so I paired it with some tights and topped it with my denim jacket that I wear almost every day. This outfit is so easy and comfortable, and perfect for temperamental autumn days.

I've been having trouble finding more casual statement sleeve dresses, but this one is a great option. I bought a couple earlier this year that are beautiful but the sleeves are a little over the top for everyday wear. I mean, I live in a rural Maine, where am I going to wear a dress with giant sleeves? Certainly not to dinner, that would be a mess.
