This month's Birchbox, the Pretty Mighty box, was in collaboration with Draper James, Reese Witherspoon's lifestyle brand. Reese Witherspoon is one of my favorite actresses and I think I've had a crush on her since I was 9 years old. The sample choices and the curated Birchbox were chosen by Reese herself.

  1. Cargo Swimmables Water Resistant Bronzer in Medium, $29-  I wasn't too excited about this at first, especially because this bronzer is a bit shimmery and I prefer matte bronzers, but I actually really like it. It is very pigmented, so you have to watch out for that when applying it, but it isn't too dark for me and doesn't make me look orange. I haven't tested to see exactly how water resistant it is, though.
  2. Bioderma Hydrabio H20, $16.99- With my usual micellar water, I have to apply a bit of pressure when rubbing off my eye makeup. With this micellar water, I didn't have to apply any pressure, it came off so easily. If I didn't go through micellar water so quickly, I would definitely consider purchasing this.
  3. ARROW ENHANCE Waterproof Eyeliner + Brightener, $16- I chose this sample to be in my box because I've been loving light, bright colors in my lower waterline lately. I've been using NYX's Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk ($4.99) and it gets the job done, but it definitely doesn't stay all day. I've heard that some people set theirs with powder but I don't really want to put powder on my lower waterline. This liner is a pretty color and does stay all day, but I just wish that it was a lot more pigmented. It's very subtle, which others may like, but I'd just like it to be much brighter. The full size version of this product is double-ended and has a black eyeliner on the other end, which doesn't sound bad for $16.
  4. Beauty Protector Protect & Volume, $23.50- I absolutely love this brand but I've grown weary of volumizing products. They always give my hair such a gross texture or makes my hair looks piecey, which isn't bad, but it's not what I want. This product didn't add any weird texture to my hair, but I also didn't notice any extra volume.
  5. Obliphica Professional Seaberry Serum, Medium to Coarse, $38- This serum smells so good, smooths my hair, and makes it feel soft and silky, but I can't say that it's worth the price. I can't see any difference between this and the $28 serum I got in my January Birchbox, using $9 jojoba oil, and the $6 serum that can be found at a drugstore. Maybe it's worth it because it smells so good?
